The News Pauper: So You Say You Won…Fair and Square

By W.B. Dunne

This one goes out to the youngsters out there who have only begun to experience the political process in America. The ones who voted Obama into office and are now seeing the correction for the first time in these midterms:

The Democrats won in a landslide in 2010 for the first time ever in a midterm election, and the fact that there is a “Speaker Boehner” on November third is due to a Supreme Court decision, the Koch Brothers, Fox News, the US Chamber of Commerce, and Karl Rove.

The NP reminds the young voter that the great court supported the corrupted GOP with its Citizens United decision, allowing for unlimited and undisclosed money from corporations and foreign interests in the campaign. The unintended consequence was that it helped the Tea Party candidates too, and that fact threatens to split the right wing in the House of Representatives. A silver lining for Progressives if ever there was one!

Hundreds of millions of dollars in campaign interference has bought the corporate masters precious little. Speaker Boehner will get what he always wanted and was promised long ago, the mantle of Head of the GOP Majority, but it will not be what he thought it would be. He is presiding over a shattered party in disarray, and it couldn’t happen to a more corrupt deserving devil!

The right outspent the left eight to one to garner a measly majority in the House, and despite all the crowing, all that has been accomplished is the creation of a need to follow through with these untenable policies the right pretends to espouse. They say that America has given the Republicans another chance; the reality is that their corporate daddy BOUGHT them another chance.

Today’s Quota Quote to Quote: Does The Daily Show Have a Slot For Pat Buchanan?

With goofball opinions like these, Pat would give John Oliver and Jason Jones a run for their money.

“If Kagan is confirmed, Jews, who represent less than 2 percent of the U.S. population, will have 33 percent of the Supreme Court seats.
“Is this the Democrats’ idea of diversity?” []
“If Kagan is confirmed, the Court will consist of three Jews and six Catholics (who represent not quite a fourth of the country), but not a single Protestant, though Protestants remain half the nation and our founding faith.”
— Pat Buchanan, from his column of May 14, 2010, as quoted by Media Matters.

As usual, the decrepit former Nixon aide and originator of Tricky Dick’s racist ‘Southern Strategy’ has it wrong our country’s ‘founding faith’ was neither Protestant, nor Christian, nor any religion, since we were established as a secular government it’s in the Constitution, should Pat ever take time from defending Hitler’s Germany prior to World War II to notice. That aside, Pat’s singing a different melody than the one he crooned off-key during Hispanic ‘Quota Queen’ Sonia Sotomayor’s confirmation last summer:

“Like Lani Guinier, the Clinton appointee rejected for reverse racism, Sonia Sotomayor is a quota queen. She believes in, preaches and practices race-based justice.” []
“A vote for Sonia Sotomayor is a vote to affirm that race-based justice deserves its own seat on the U.S. Supreme Court.
“But if that happens, it will not only be the race consciousness of Hispanics that will be on the rise in the good old U.S.A.”
— Pat Buchanan, from his column on June 2, 2009, as quoted by Media Matters.

So, just to be clear: In Pat’s befuddled universe, quotas based on religion are apparently fine and diversity should prevail; quotas based on race, however, are bad for the nation and will lead to ruin. This confused soft-shoe racist still has a job on MSNBC?

The News Pauper: The Next Crash

By W.B. Dunne

The News Pauper begs everyones pardon for his slackery. It is merely the fact that he is B.R.O.K.E., as in poor, and has been forced to hustle like a bowery boy to heat his hearth and get a little in his stomach. I have not started to sell off my little sundries for scraps as of yet, but it is imminent. I am not alonea friend is surviving this crap by living in his car and calling a forty-dollar day scavenging for change on the street lucrative.

The News Pauper knows what is lucrativestealing an entire countrys wealth by rigging a Florida election and installing a president with the help of a crooked Supreme Courtthrow in the approbation of a lapdog media, and before we know it were starting a devastating illegal war, and terrorizing all of America and the world with torture and outright murder.

In the eyes of the NP, this is just the start.

The meme in the media is that Obama is simply blaming everything on Bush. There is much more to this than meets the eye. Everything that Obama does carries much more authority because he was actually in fact elected! The righty media have done all they can to question the legitimacy of Obamas presidencythey attempt to inflict the thousand cuts in any and every way they can. But, as is always the case with these asses, it is really a mass exercise in projection. This is all proof to the NP that they know that their guy was illegitimate, and that their entire platform is a farce.

There is a startling rumble in the ground that is guaranteed to knock the earth off its axis; it is called the collapse of the commercial real estate market. We proles will be taken out by the millions. The power grubbers have set it up to coincide with the midterms this fall. Any piece of news will be framed to blame the current administration. By October there will be such an astounding degree of misery in the streets that it will be a miracle if there are not widespread riots. I think that the increase of off-account militias and violent rhetoric spreaders like Beck and Limbaugh will present a particular problem to legitimate law enforcement because any action they take against these rebels will be distorted into a message that is already positionednamely, that Obama wants to disarm the populace and enslave them all.

It has always been the opinion of the NP that if one needs to know what the right is planning for our future, all that is necessary for one to do so is to look at what they are accusing the opposition of doing. If this is really the case, they have big plans indeed. One needs only to spend a minute or two with the purveyors of the propaganda to be greeted with the images of concentration camps, slavery, the complete abolition of the social gains of the twentieth century, and the spectre of the basics of humanity being reserved only for the rulers of us all.
