A woman is claiming a Christian pastor’s sermon caused three of her amputated toes to grow back although she has shown no proof, The Daily Beast reports. The pastor is taking credit.

When Bill Johnson, a guest pastor visiting Missouri’s James River Church, asked if anyone was in need of a “creative miracle” during his sermon, according to The Daily Beast, Kristina Dines said “yes.”

The Daily Beast reports:

She lost the toes in 2015 when her estranged then-husband, Stephen Thompson, broke into her Joplin home with a 12-gauge shotgun and shot her multiple times. Dines, a mother of four, also lost portions of her intestines and liver. Her best friend, Carissa Gerard, died in the horrific attack. Thompson is now serving life in prison.

Dines claims she can now stand on her “tippy toes,” claiming she could not do so prior to the sermon.

A man who is skeptical of the “miracle” created a website, www.ShowMeTheToes.com, which includes clips of the sermon and Dines’ testimony.

The Daily Beast reports:

[Johnson] went on to claim that one of the women praying over Dines is married to a physician, who ‘came and examined’ Dines and verified that she had indeed grown three new toes, although no video or photographic evidence has been released. Dines, who said she never took a ‘before’ picture of her feet, has not allowed a public inspection.

Hemant Mehta shared a clip of Krissy Thompson sharing her testimony via Twitter, writing, “A woman who attends James River Church in Missouri claims prayer helped regrow her three amputated toes in the span of 30 minutes. Don’t bother looking for proof. No one took video, apparently.”

In the video, Dines said, “I heard the word ‘creative miracles,’ and I thought, ‘Well, I certainly have a creative miracle that I might need. I need three toes to grow back.'” She continued, “The person next to me said, ‘Do you want new toes?’ and I was like, ‘Well, sure!'”

Twitter users proceeded to share their skepticism.

@chloetoso: “‘I didn’t have toes to tippy on’ I’m sorry give this woman an Oscar”

Wade Evans: “This is exactly how I know God has a sense of humor”

@JoshMcVa: “These people vote and have kids.”

@7jumpthehedges: “This woman is on Facebook claiming she went there with the intention of having her stomach healed but god regrew her toes instead. Someone did find a ‘before’ photo she had posted on Facebook but she refuses to post an after photo.”

@ThinkingAtheist: “I’ll take ‘things that never happened’ for $500!”

@Biccombe: “Of all the troubles in the World, her fat little toes take priority.”

@FCTwenteBenton: “In the name of the Father the Son and the Toely Ghost”

Under a Facebook post about the “miracle,” Jason Kunza said, “Are people seriously this stupid?”
