The Trump administration is apparently gearing up for more lawsuits.

Its preemptive lawsuit against the election results in Alaska (which hasn’t yet been filed) may be the first of many litigation attempts Donald Trump is planning as he scrambles to stave off the potential loss of both chambers of Congress.

According to a source within the Trump White House speaking on condition of anonymity, multiple members of the president’s staff are concerned the Alaska lawsuit could merely be the opening salvo.

“We know there are plans to discredit every race that Republicans lose. Every one of them. And we know Todd Blanche will spearhead the legal efforts,” the source told Raw America White House reporter Brian Karem. “The president is wounded, and if he loses he’ll be embarrassed. We all need to brace for what comes next.”

Those inside the White House say the president is potentially looking to file lawsuits “anywhere the Senate vote is close,” with suits potentially to be filed in Iowa, Maine, Michigan, South Carolina and Texas. The litigation is part of a strategy that includes shutting down voting precincts (as has already been done in Tarrant County, Texas), calling in police to ramp up patrols near voting precincts and potentially deploying U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and even the National Guard as a means of intimidating would-be voters.
