The News Pauper: The Two Toms
By W.B. Dunne
The News Pauper is thrilled that the two Toms, Ridge and Delay, are making headlines this week. Delay for a slot on Dancing with the Stars”; Ridge for coming out about the 2004 election and raising the terror alert to insure Bushs reelection.
Id like to take on the latter fellow first. Nice try, Tom Ridge, but anyone with a memory can tell you that you were the last thing in the world that affected the 2004 election. Mr. Ridge, every American over twelve could see through the bullshit that was and is homeland security. However, that being said, the thing that DID effect the outcome of the 2004 election was swift-boating, vote caging, election-thieving operators from the White Houseincluding chiefly, Karl Rove. A fella named Ken Blackwell, from Ohio, delivered the vote to the GOP all rightthrough FRAUD.
These stories are put out there to poison the well of information for those that dont know the truth. A mean-spirited right-wing media machine still exists even after their masters have abandoned them. When history looks back upon this era we so unfortunately have been forced to live in, long after the sleazy factotums of the robber barons of the late 20th century have been exposed, people will marvel at our collective ability to thrive in the face of such evil rubbish.
As for the other Tom, what incredible dolt has decided that it is a good idea to literally trot out this epitome of corruption? How is the lying and thieving Tom Delay, the disgraced hypocrite, going to put a human face on the imploding GOP? This is one show that I wont be watching, I still have a little vomit Im holding down from the very idea that this cretin will be allowed to be seen on a television show rather than in front of a jury.
Way to display and foster the tiered system of justice we have in the United States. You or I, dear reader, should we decide to pull any of the antics these two Toms have — we end up in prison. At the very least we are compelled to lawyer up and defend ourselves against felony charges. Become a thinly veiled sociopath in a suit, and in the Republican in club, and you are as free from scrutiny as a cute little bunny.
The two Toms, and countless other staff of the Bush administration, deserve jail. Bush, Cheney, and Rove especially deserve jail and our undying contempt for what they have wrought. The media moguls who befoul the airwaves with a constant barrage of lies should go to judgment with them.
The News Pauper salutes you, the reader, and departs.
