We, as Intelligent Animals are the lovers of war. We celebrate it, use it as a measure of societal success, as the basis of our abuse-based society. We are in fact at war with ourselves! But I think that deserves an explanation. Our society is based on war against and among different groups. While the war against Americans with black skin is the best known, that is just the tip of the iceberg. The entire Reagan Revolution was all about allowing the war of the 1% against the rest of us. It was about the spoils of a war on equality and enabling racism, sexism, and economic abuse on the rest of us. They hate the “New Deal” because it sought to give us a chance. Regulation was there to even up the playing field. But the genius of the Cons and their professional psy-warriors has been to use the same psychology used in sports, a version of war itself, to create an us-against-them mentality. Just like two football teams or WWE wrestling. Good guys and bad guys, the same show whether it’s wrestling or politics.
Sports are a good example of what I am saying. We all live and die with our favorite teams and our favorite sports. I can relate, I played sports most of my life and was addicted to the thrill of winning, the intensity of high-level play, and the competition of others as good as I was, or better. I was addicted to it for years and my body now reminds me of how badly I mistreated it in headlong pursuit of winning. Many days I wake up with my hands screaming at me in protest, full of arthritis and pain. All sports are a form of war. Everything is based on war and winning. From business to sports, to politics, it’s all about war! We, as a nation have devolved into a mental state of war in our nation, thanks to the Cons (Rich Ultra Conservative Authoritarians.)
In a money-centric society such as ours, having money is everything. There is no honor, or truth, logic, or ethics, there is only money as the measure of everything. In their eyes, your ability to purchase things is the sum total of your value to society. The war has just shifted from one of conquest by force of arms to one of economic oppression, enabling chaos and buying everybody of value to them. This is a war, a war of deception and of advantage, enabling chaos and of promotion of righteous ignorance. The beauty of the “New Deal” was to use the nation’s government and regulation as a buffer from the war of the Cons and Regressives. That is why they continue to attack it, even though they have long ago used greed, to destroy it.
It is time to end being a war and abuse-based society. The rule of the Intelligent Animal is simply war against everybody else. Just hidden in rhetoric and by motivating fools and the ignorant. We must begin by framing the fight as to what it is, not the race-based battle they want to fight. The Foundations!
