Inspection- Taking a Turner for the Worse

The bad news is I have had to write using this theme many times. The worse news is I am sure I will use it again. For those unfamiliar; The Turner Diaries were basically Timothy McVeigh’s bible. The set up for what was once were mostly just dangerous fictional musings regarding a revolution; led by those who made Hitler look kind, seem to be becoming all too real.Inspection
Skipping to the end of Turner tells you all you need to know about the goals of the revolutionaries: once they have won their very right wing revolution the infirm, those considered “diseased,” every black, Hispanic, non-white, non-fundamentalist Christian and their ‘damaged’ children are lined up and hanged, shot, butchered to make the country pure ‘again.’ The means of winning is small revolutionary cells that break into tiny cells of one or two that bomb, commit murder by any means, and terrorize. Sometimes it’s like the current pipe bombs used (Suspect: Cesar Jr.), sometimes it’s destroying infrastructure, creating division by any means; but always the intent is to clear the path for the new order, to conquer, to rule the nation. And while the movement is expressly White Nationalist, like all extreme fascists I have no doubt it would go way beyond the book and seek world domination.
Those who demand this level of purity always do,
Causing chaos, hatred and division was very important to the revolutionaries in The Turner Diaries. Making sure either one group of innocents blame another group of innocents. If one was caught it was just ‘one crazy.’ Two people? Two crazies. The movement remains untouched, no blame, incognito. Meanwhile blacks were blame, those whites considered politically incorrect by the movement were blamed, immigrants were blamed, liberals were blamed: turning society in on itself until those they consider less worthy than dogs eat them selves tail first. All that was left at the end was to lined up then hang those considered worse than trash by the master race.
V for Vendetta gone mad.
Are you scared yet? Well, let me add one more aspect…
In Turner there’s a very dull witted, right leaning, president is used by the movement to further their goals because someone like that is more likely to be a either a willing or unwitting tool. I will leave it to you whether we have a willingly or unwittingly power hungry leader who fits this description. I will leave it to you whether a certain someone is an actual: barely closeted, Diary-ist. I will leave it to you whether he will lead the new empire, or if he will be at the head of the line we are in waiting for the noose.
I suspect the last and, if I’m right, it would be the only good thing in that horror show. No tears need be shed for the empty headed, empty show man-child.

Inspection is a column that has been written by Ken Carman for over 40 years. Inspection is dedicated to looking at odd angles, under all the rocks, and into the unseen cracks and crevasses, that constitute the issues and philosophical constructs of our day: places few think, or even dare, to venture.
