Maybe I should go to Bluesky and forget Facebook.
    Maybe I’m just satisfying some unknown sadomasochistic nature I have.
    But I refuse to leave Facebook. I refuse to stand down and just scroll past all troll posts. And I find it interesting I rarely get challenged when challenging these posts. At first I would answer their idiotic claims in detail. But as of late I just call it a pst intended to create rage, a troll post, or worse: tell them they’re obviously just playing poke the libtards.
    An idiotic game played by people who have never grown past the 12 year old bully stage. You know: the bully who was probably held back, or at best made worse than mediocre’ grades and was hell on wheels for their teachers. As a sub I have tried to teach them. Some are mostly unteachable because they think they’re smarter than everyone else when obviously they’re NOT.
    The irony is, when it comes to men, I think every one of us is at least partially stuck at the 5 or 12 year old stage; the eager to please 5 year old or the eager to torment his victims 12 guy. The most ironic part is the 5 year old does mature, the mentally 12 really doesn’t. Their nasty attitude prevents maturation. An adult is willing to admit if they’re wrong, respect those who disagree and consider alternate views. They generally like diversity, equity and inclusion. You know that much hated DEI, not spelled out because if they did say or type the words most of the public might say, “What the hell is wrong with those?”
    As of late the AI generated and stock images of cute women holding signs images fill the pages of Facebook. At best it’s because it’s an election year and there’s a massive social media effort to convince people on Facebook to influence Americans, and a rather bad effort at that. Often lacking in logic, like the one that compared allowing gays to express themselves is akin to forcing Muslims to eat pork. NO ONE IS FORCING ANYONE TO BE GAY.
    But there sure arte a lot of over testosterone driven men who want to force their aggressive chauvinist nature on others, especially women. Want their leaders to be the same, beating down on anyone who isn’t a potential rapist. Or an actual rapist. You can often tell the worst when they constantly call those who dare disagree with them “pedos.”
    I must admit my attitudes on the LBGTQ issue were tempered by having a good friend’s mate, and one of the best teacher I ever had murdered by serial gay killers. That last one I was told was harassed and fired because they thought he “was a danger to the kids.” Mr. Weber was not only respectful but focused on what we did right, tried to encourage us to be our best. Not focused on insulting us, humiliating students, to get the results he wanted. A year after he was fired I quit on the teacher who was his main nemesis because of those kinds of teaching methods.
    Back to social media, especially social media this election year that is host to a lot of trolls…
    I suspect a lot of the troll posts may be being generated by the White House, even the president. Maybe almost all. Some of the reasoning is so bad it’s funny, like a joke starting with, “An idiot and a moron logged onto social media. It was the same person, so I repeat myself.”
    Maybe it’s my mild conspiratorial nature but I do wonder…
    Is the purpose of these posts NOT to change anyone’s opinions but to take the names of those who respond negatively to in the future supply more people to the for profit private prison industry? So those corporations can get richer being paid to keep those who oppose Donald Trump and his policies? Camps heading toward being death camps? The stats are small in comparison to say Auschwitz… FOR NOW. It ain’t just the undocumented now. They keep expanding their definition. Just like Hitler and his merry band of sickos did.
    You know those purchased and run by the government will be handed over to pro Trump private prison companies right?
    Am I exaggerating? Not for the early death camps where the toll was very small. And the treatment: take the case of Rodney Taylor. Without even going to Facebook I know what the defense with claim that he wasn’t a perfect person, he was an “illegal…” No, he had applied, had a green card, and was being considered, there’s a difference. He had a burglary conviction when he was 11, but was pardoned. BUT NONE OF THIS IS MY POINT HERE. It’s his treatment while in the camp. He has severe medical issues. A double amputee who was denied what any double amputee should have. With his partial hand he had to crawl through the muck the feces to get to the shower.
    The longer this goes on the worse it will get, the more secretive, the more deaths. Sure looks like the seeds to grow a network of Nazi-like death camps. The camps all across the nation are meant to hold thousands to tens of thousands of prisoners: a black hole where no due process applies. FOR ANYONE, and it won’t be supposed “illegals.” One of the first sent in a wave: you may remember him, was sent to another nation’s prison which has been noted for deaths and being close to impossible to get out of. The courts rued against Trump again and again. Trump and the leader of the country laughed when asked if he would be released. I am referring to L Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia.
    A judge (Paula Xinis) ordered him released and brought back. After many attempts to just have him incarcerated elsewhere he is free now, but they are still trying to incarcerate him. At the time of his first arrest and deportation he had never been charged with or convicted of a crime in either country: El Salvador or the US. He had no connection to that death camp in Honduras. You can bet Trump and Company are doing all they can to get rid of Paula Xinis.
    Challenge this administration? HOW DARE ANYONE. There ARE the actions of a wannabe King or dictator. Why are MAGA, Trump and his cronies so desperate not to lose seats in 2026? BECAUSE IT WILL PUT A SERIUOS CRIMP IN THE PLAN FOR AN AUTHORITARIAN COUNTRY HEADED TOWARDS A FINAL SOLUTION.
    It may seem unconnected to us. I don’t know about you, but my family came here in 1633. I used to be a Conservative in the 60’s and early 70’s. I changed and, more important, the movement changed to something neither conservative nor worthy of Bill Buckley, Barry Goldwater, John McCain, or Everett Dirksen.
    None of this might be something they would have approved of. Remember John McCain corrected an early Trump-like supporter by saying Obama wasn’t the enemy or evil, they just disagreed. It’s damn obvious the goal of some of the right today is the opposite of that. And their I hate democracy this is a Republic protests are very telling. Reminds me of what we remembered this past Easter. A rather oppressive Republic crucifying someone years ago because he was as a challenge to their absolute power. And like the dogmatic fundamentalists of that time, the dogmatic MAGA gleefully cheers the same thing on. Instead of a cross make them crawl through feces, die in prison with no due process, instead of stabbing in the side shoot those who complain 10 times in the back or in the face.
    The Empire DID take down names. Many were butchered, eaten in the games. But eventually that changed. Here’s to it not being hundreds of years, or even the rest of 4 years.
