But Biden Did It!

    I constantly hear and read this nonsense.
    If Biden/Bush/Obama did something does that make it legal, or OK, or moral, or constitutional for Trump to do it?
    OF COURSE NOT.
    The best answer to this would be, “Well, if they actually did I don’t support them doing it either. Join with me to protest BOTH. IF true.”
    Don’t forget to make sure: Snopes and Google it. The AI response is not bad! A lot more neutral/objective than partisan sources, which is close to everything these days. Most of the time you’ll find it is a lie, or an exaggeration, a lie by omission. Did Biden have documents? Yes, but found them and turned them over, and also when found willingly turned them over. The controversy was Trump’s constant denials, only turning over some and claiming it was all, hiding them, and some documents vanished: suspiciously docs that Russia certainly would have wanted. He even tasked an employee to destroy some.
    Not suspicious, not suspicious at all, right? RIGHT! (Sarcasm intended and fun!)
    Context matters.
    Nuance matters.
    You may notice that those who are mad about things they claim that have no suddenly want nuance, context. and only THEY’RE challenged, and the context they provide is usually evasive BS, like claiming all Trump was going to have done is have a window taken out, after him saying it wouldn’t be touched.
    Example: part of my feed was a post by a MAGA person of a women pointing at her neck as if she had a gun and obviously having fun doing it. NO SOUND. The claim being she was mocking Kirk’s murder. I pointed out I’d have to have sound and context to assess. The poster expected all of us to just assume that’s what the mocking, or joke, was all about. Boy did she get pissed at my challenge claiming I was willing to make any excuse for mocking the murder of Charlie. As usual I pointed out that’s exactly what I wasn’t doing. But I DID find it ironic that the right didn’t seem to have a problem with mocking a reporter with a medical condition, or the hammer to Paul Pelosi or the murder of the Hortmans and their dog.
    SILENCE!
    Is the left innocent, pure and saintly? HELL NO. But no group does this more than those in power and willing to do and say anything to keep it.
    IMO, we live in a very sick time when it comes to honesty, lies, hypocrisy and just making up crap. All at warp 9.
    
Soros/Koch Paid For…!!!

    EVEN IF TRUE (more than just doubtful in the case of Soros and No Kings) IT DOESN’T MATTER!
    What did the Court decide? They decided money is speech. Corporations are people. That was no leftie justices decision, but the right wing of the court. According to these decisions Soros and Koch have a right to free speech, as decided by, dare I remind everyone, again, a court that by definition is by no means left wing. Now if comes back and bites those who are complaining. Oh, I feel so sorry, widdle idems, can’t take the medicine ya’ll forced on the rest of us. Don’t like being hung by your own petard? Sorry… NO I’M NOT.
    Look, if it were me, such would be illegal. Spending vast amounts of money to create or populate protests, or the Bush aide riots, or protests outside where votes are being counted, should be illegal.
    Let the people fund their own protests, as they did with No Kings. If not every one, most. Insist that’s not true. PROVE IT. Otherwise it at best a politically convenient claim, more likely a politically convenient LIE.
    But as it is billionaires have a right.

    BTW, dare I mention a lot of the Soros comments seem to be driven by the fact he’s Jewish? And the Koch comments driven by the fact they are very successful business men, now down to one of them? And that elections are way too driven by billionaire money, no matter what side?
    If it were up to me all elections would be paid for via public funds. I have written columns about this. Wouldn’t be hard. Wouldn’t have to be expensive. It could also help candidates other than Dem or Repub, especially when combined with ranked voting. Fully funded PBS and NPR offering their platforms for debates as part of their duties for that funding. Each candidate gets a simple website. Posters and flyers in the post offices and libraries.
    But no, the Court wants money to rule our election and billionaires to have voices so loud that our voices, and the voices of candidates not belonging to the 2 major parties, might as well be a single hoarse whisper in the high winds(1,200 mph) of Neptune.
