There are two competing forces within not only our society but also in our heads. On one side are the forces of what we know, the faux security of authoritarian Abrahamic religion, being told what to do by an ever-watching God or his appointments on Earth, the leaders and those who speak for that concept of God. Governmental leadership is just an extension of the idea that there is an unwritten plan for everything in your life: do what they tell you, and the plan will make sure it’s okay. Our lizard brain is just fine with that because it satisfies its primitive needs and ticks all the boxes. Mental comfort, do what you are told, reproduce, have children, and God smiles, love Jesus, and hate everyone they tell you to, and stay in your lane, and protect it along with your leaders with aggression and territoriality. The less you think for yourself, the better. This model is designed to turn off millions of years of evolution, to take us back to our most primitive form, happy within the prison of the primitive mind we create by squandering the potential of our evolution.
