Of course, with “RIP,” I’m referring to her political career, or any chance she thought she had to make a difference.
And I hope the hell I am wrong.
Maybe it’s time, as Democrats and on the Left, to stop backing pols who give in too easily to people like Trump, who ignore the fact that dropping out of the scene when you lose is NOT the way to go. Who act as if Republicans AREN’T cheating and seriously skewing the vote by finding so many creative ways to cage the vote.
I recently read Kamala’s book 107 Days. I was hoping to find some reason why she abandoned us after the election. Instead I found very short chapters, which at my age I appreciated, praising those who helped her: no problem, but maybe longer chapters with more pertinent info regarding what happened. Or is she just clueless?
I’ll give her that. Pathetic, but I understand.
The only time she really addressed the crucial issue was her lawyer not answering her question regarding Trump cheating. The lawyer just said, “Not actionable.”
Did even actionable ever stop Donald Trump? HELL, NO! Did all his claims that would be not actionable ever stop Trump from actual action? HELL, NO!!!
    1/6 a prime example.
The New Year’s is upon us and apparently Dem leadership is only for more of the same.
I didn’t want some insurrection, or Kamala offering something similar to the constant orange piggy whining and grievance based BS. But I have longed that cheated Dem candidates go on a crusade, something the Democratic Party has needed to do since at least Gore.
Where did this start? Al Gore. At least he TRIED, so I don’t blame Gore for falling on his sword…
We went as far as we could. The Supremes decided. Horrible decision. Obviously the right wing of the Court has no interest in enforcing Equal Protection, unless one of their political buds doesn’t want all the votes counted. Which, BTW, would have come out in Gore’s favor. This decision is what I say was the start of the set up for a right wing fascist regime, soon to star the orange piggy. Yes, Obama won, Biden won. The last was special circumstances that allowed more complete counting of the vote and more people able to vote. The first, well look who won the primaries on the Republican side. Sabotaging themselves was predictable.
But, back to what Kamala could have done. No, I wanted no Grandpa Simpson constant “I was cheated” rant, demanding recount after recount, continuing despite obvious truth, like how his cyber ninjas came out with basically the same result. Which is ironic, since this was what Gore was accused of for want a COMPLETE count. Since those days it has REALLY gone off the rails because Republicans know no one “ain’t” gonna do nuttin to stop them with a rigged Court (“‘Thanks,’ Mitch.”) and Democratic leadership shrugging at how Republicans keep finding creative ways to cage.
So much to focus on, so many new ways to erase votes. not allow people to vote, claim people are voting who shouldn’t NO PROOF EVER OFFERED. Or how the cyber ninjas tore into machines. Think they just ignored how to hack into programming? Deliberately closed polls in politically inconvenient places.
I could go on and on as every presidential election Repubs keep getting better at cheating, while baselessly claim Democrats are.
Kamala, you could have gone on a an honest election crusade. Skip the name calling and orange piggy BS. PROSECUTE THE CASE.
You’ve done it before as a prosecutor, do it again. When it comes to this the Democratic Party leadership has constantly run for the hills. I have argued with them and they claim if they do this people will stop voting. (Did they stop all the time Trump did it?) BE THE PEOPLE’S DEFENDER.
Hey, Kamala, have you read Greg Palast’s many articles? YOU WON!
Another answer I get is all we need to do is fight to REALLY get out the vote. Obviously we’ve come to a time where that tactic has become less and less effective. Do we count how many were NOT allowed to vote? NO. Low voter turn out stats are suspicious, at best.
Instead, like other Democrats, Harris hid under her bed, Unfortunately there are monsters there too. They are everywhere, and as a party our leadership has allowed that BY NOT LEADING.
Despite the loss, we still needed a leader after the election, Kamala. YOU FAILED.
I pray the New Years proves me wrong at least state by state. But Republican’s keep playing us. Not just when it comes to elections. When it comes to Republicans and Supreme Court appointments they’re allowed to make appointments by lying and trickery. So not bringing up an appointment long before an election is permitted when a Democrat is president, but allowing a vote AFTER the Democrat wins, but before he takes office, is OK?
Every time we get punked and cheated Dem leaders hide under their political beds. And as time goes on there are less and less Dems in any influential position. Kamala is just one of the newer ones.
