It’s such a wide topic, unless you accept the Trump position which is unless they’re white Christian Nationalists they’re all “vermin” (where have we heard THAT before? Maybe you, Ghost of Adolf?), “poisoning the blood” (Are you still listening, Adolf? I see you grinning.), … also “criminals,” “killers,” and “rapists.”

On the more dimwit side he sure is pro shipping white nationalists here. I resisted “Christians,” because despite claims they don’t follow Jesus.
The hatred is so strong he has had his now reformulated into his own personal Gestapo/SS and silvershirts, called “ICE,” come into communities with pols he hates and drag people out of houses, shot in the back 10 times, bullet though the head where ab agent stood where no law enforcement person is supposed to stand. And the adm is literally pouring buckets of money into ICE and new hires.
How many of these new hires participated in 1/6? Were told they need to pay no attention to civil rights? How many beat cops, sprayed them in the eyes with pepper spray? Raped now pregnant girls in their ICE camps? How may are now part of Donald’s ICE Gestapo?
Apparently it’s not just illegals doing the raping. I wonder if some ICE agents in kid’s concentration camps are like a certain dumbass character in Blazing Saddles…

No one, I repeat NO ONE, seems interested in SOLVING what has been a long standing problem: undocumented immigration…
To start with: THERE HAVE NEVER BEEN “OPEN BORDERS,” unless you list Ronald Reagan’s suggest it, but actually had some reasonable solutions. I am about to suggest a better solution.
The main reason we have the undocumented is conditions at the border: coyotes bring them (Forget that old and basically mostly dumped them. On the border there are violent gangs that rob, rape and murder whole families as well as individuals. No surprise they get over the border any way they can rather than run into the gangs.
Sure, some of the gang members cross. Sure there are violent criminals: almost all from the gangs and stay close and move back over to avoid getting caught. But framing all of them the way Donnie does is, what is his favorite vehicle of communication? …oh, yeah, politically driven nasty drivel, cruel, lies. We may be being led by the most evil man in a century or more, competition for Joseph McCarthy who, while hunting commies with accusations, was cuddling up to known fascists, helping them gain more power and influence. Had Nazi connections, defended Nazi excesses.
Instead of sanctuary cities, ICE goosestepping through them to deport the illegal and legal, how about rather large buildings on both sides of the border? Mexico do theirs, we do ours. It sure as hell could be more effective than that UNFINISHED wall his royal orangeness told us was done. We might even get Mexico to help pay for this solution. The whole situation must be a pain in the ass for them too.
These buildings would be where potential immigrants stay while case workers see if they’re a good fit. They get BASIC meals, basic places to sleep: basic accommodations.
If we redirected funds there it sure as hell would be less expensive than this billion dollar boondoggle.
And the real dangerous ones could be weeded out with a reformed and repurposed ICE. More than likely the worst immigrants would ignore such open doors and try to cross anyway.
Now we’ve weeded out the worst of the worst.
We get rid of the bad actors in ICE. PROSECUTE THEM. Just one example: shooting a disarmed man, who had a right to that gun and had not pulled it, then shooting him in the back 10X? THAT’S MURDER. PERIOD. No way around it. Once he’s down and not a threat it’s an execution.
Oh, and employers who advertise for immigrants to cross should also help fund or go to prison in a very public and humiliating way. Whatever laws we need to make we make. I have no problem with some of ICE being redeployed THAT way.
One downside: our president would probably be one of the first arrests and convictions, especially with his tendency hire venders, among them immigrants, and then not pay them.
Wait, isn’t that an UPSIDE???????
