I like this cover. In some ways I might agree with the “small gov’t” people. Maybe we should have less gov’t since all the regulations put in place to protect us, over the last 100 years at least, have either been watered down, changed to favor the bad guys, or are simply unenforced. What’s the point of thousands of workers, multiple agencies, and millions/billions in tax $ if we’re still going to get screwed?

We could get rid of Homeland Security, the Office of the National Intelligence Director, a few redundant intel agencies like the DIA, and about half of the Pentagon, and still be in good shape — maybe better, since we won’t be wasting so much money on welfare for useless bureaucrats. We could also streamline the tax code and corporate regulation to work in favor of the people for a change and thereby cut another layer of bureaucracy. Legalizing drugs and dumping the wasteful Drug War would also save money and eliminate another tier of unneeded government intrusion in our lives. Of course, when the Teabaggers say ‘smaller government’ I don’t think this is the kind of thing they’re referring to.
