Israel: to some on the Left…
    Now we’ve gotten rid of that nasty Biden administration that wasn’t pro-Palestinian enough, wasn’t as active enough when it came to refusing weapons to those indiscriminately bombing Gaza… you apparently got what you wanted. So this is better… how?
    When Biden was president I kept getting blow back regarding Israel’s policy regarding Gaza. Admittedly BAD, but could be far worse.
    One thing I agree with 100%, during an election year especially, is Biden’s reaction towards Net’s policy of what really amounts to EXTERMINATION was, at best, mealy mouth, weak and shifting back and forth. Mostly towards supporting Israel. At best towards ineffective, weak threats and chiding.
    Another 100%; politically the whole thing is, and was, a minefield. Harris came in too late NOT to try to avoid that minefield, because if not well done her candidacy wouldn’t have had a chance in hell. Too easily used as a big bat by Trump and Company.
    But Biden’s policy, or lack thereof, reminded me of the parent when they find out their child has been robbing stores with weapons the parent provided sounded like he was saying, “Gee, Junior, you really shouldn’t have been doing that. Maybe you should stop and THINK of paying some of that back? Think of not doing that? No extra desert for you!”
    Little brat sticks out tongue, parent does little to nothing.
    But I have to ask…
    Where are many of these self righteous critics now? Now that students are arrested for saying or writing anything critical of the actions against Gaza? We’ve gone from providing weapons with an occasional mild chiding and threats, to arresting our critics for daring to criticize, shipping them to prisons with no due process. To no chiding whatsoever, indeed gleeful support of the extermination. Now that public officials in Israel are calling for a cleansing? Now that the new administration supports the atrocities?
    Oh, yeah, they have talked about resettling survivors… reminiscent of “resettling” the jews in the 30’s and 40’s.
    Once again THIS IS BETTER… HOW? One tiresome comment I’ve heard is “now maybe Democratic leadership will learn next time!” And this has worked how well since Reagan? Now that the way it’s leaning next time is either totally rigged elections, worse than any “Bernie was screwed” claims, OR NO REAL ELECTION AT ALL.
    To quote war criminal George Junior, “Is we learning yet?”
    Come on supporters of Palestinians! RAISE HELL! Make more noise than before!
    It just keeps getting worse and worse. Where’s all that self righteousness now? Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich recently openly called for cleansing, not that there hasn’t been any of that before. Said it may be moral to starve 2 million Gazans? Proudly announcing in a few months Gaza will be totally destroyed.
     Hence: extermination.
    Does he know there are innocent people there, not all Hamas by any means? Not everyone is supposedly hiding members of Hamas. There are also still hostages, but the bombing will solve that.
    But back to the main topic: some of the left constantly raised hell about Biden’s continued support for Israel. As far as I’m concerned that was clueless. Yes, Biden’s administration veered too much towards Israel IN AN ELECTION YEAR. But the blindness of some on the left to what politically was and is a difficult situation only helped feed those who wanted Biden out and Trump back in. Wanted extermination.
    We have gone from the parent who mildly chides the child to the parent who wants them to rob stores, is eager to help them rob stores, help them murder store owners. Eager sell them even more weapons than before to help with that goal.
    Once again: is this better?
    Once again: why all the silence?
    Maybe some of them actually got what they really wanted and were playing us, have been gaslighting us.
    If this is you then congratulations! You got what you wanted! One hopes all the dead bodies are loaded into bombers and dumped on YOU.
