The constant need for intercession by a judgmental God, within the game of a lifetime-long test and concept, is a part of a fear-based, very human authority. Where severely limited human beings feel empowered to judge others without the all-seeing perspective of even their concept of God, and for benefits that have nothing to do with any God. But perhaps the most incredible is that the Evangelicals are trying to emulate the Pharisees, the very group that executed the namesake of their religion and those whom Jesus himself called hypocrites.
