It’s a historical echo worth paying attention to…
Can you imagine this? Could have happened if he had decided to run. A President Lindbergh: “Lucky” Lindy, tells Europe and England that they should be willing to give up land to Hitler. Have to put caps on their military forces.
The text of the “truce,” or what some dare call a “peace plan,” demands Mussolini, or some other Hitler ally, monitors the peace plan. Churchill and other European leaders, are ordered to make a decision in a few days.
Nothing guarantees Hitler wouldn’t just gobble up countries, or back stab Russia. NOTHING.
Would you have accepted that deal in the 30’s and 40’s, even not knowing what you know now?
    Hence, nether should Zelenskyy.
It’s really no secret what Putin wants, what he has been drooling for ever since he came to power. And at best Ukraine is just the start.
Putin has broken every deal he has made, just like Hitler. He certainly won’t stop at caps, or limited territory, or even Ukraine. He made a promise that he would get the power back the old USSR had. And the old USSR’s eastern block. Think he will stop there?
    Then you don’t know Putin.
And you are as naive’ as Chamberlain was.
Like Stalin, Trump is Putin’s willing ally. Unlike Stalin, if betrayed, Trump will do nothing. Even cheer him on because King wannabe Don has similar plans. No accident that Trump, from the start of Trump Take 2, has talked of taking over Canada, Greenland… think he’ll stop there?
Yeah, right. Conquer “shithole countries?” Subjugate them? Certainly seems a Trumpian wet dream to me. A lot of people to get rid of for sure. We have a start where President Trump’s lawyer, John Sauer, answered that it “would depend on the hypothetical” and could “well be an official act” to murder political enemies.
    Sound familiar?
The Court has been becoming Trump’s bitch boy. One more nomination and the deal may be sealed. And eliminating justices who won’t rule his way? Could be defined as an “official duty.”
One thing I have learned: NEVER underestimate how far they will go.
