Strangely, Trump omitted 8 presidents from his chart, including Reagan, Kennedy, Nixon, Eisenhower, Truman, Ford, and both Bushes.

   The presidents that Trump put in the “great” (as opposed to his singular, “greatest” category), include several highly ranked presidents, such as Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Franklin Roosevelt. However, he also included Andrew Jackson and Woodrow Wilson in this category, two presidents who were probably overly eager to exercise their power, and that Trump has praised in the past.

   Of course, Trump was psychologically obligated by his narcissistic mind, to list recent presidents who opposed him as being in the worst category, “failures,” which included Biden, Obama and Jimmy Carter. This is in spite of Obama and Biden being ranked well by presidential historians. Surprisingly, Trump put Bill Clinton in the “average” category.

   And speaking of presidential historians ranking presidents, Trump has come in last place, twice. The first time was in 2018, and the second, in 2024. The Presidential Greatness Project Expert Survey included 154 presidential historians in 2024, with views that span the political spectrum. One thing they had in common, though, was disdain for Donald Trump. Not only did he rank last out of 45 presidents, but it wasn’t even close. Trump received an average ranking of 10.92 points, out of 100. The next worst president was Buchanan, at 16.71 points, while Andrew Johnson was at 21.56 points on average. If anything, I suppose that Trump’s already dismal ratings are declining even further.

   How about Trump’s rivals? Obama rates very well, ranking 7th among presidents in the survey, with an average score of 73.8. Biden also ranks well, despite his unpopularity for what I consider largely superficial reasons, such as age and mediocre speaking skills. Biden ranked 14th, with an average score of 62.66. Even the much maligned Jimmy Carter, ranked in the middle of the pack, at 22nd, with an average score of 54.26. Meanwhile, conservative icon Ronald Reagan ranked 16th among presidents, and his ranking has been on the decline. Bill Clinton in fact, now ranks higher than Reagan, at number 12.

   If our elected officials ever gather enough courage to use the 25th Amendment to oust, or attempt to oust, Donald J. Trump, his display of this extremely subjective and inaccurate chart should be used as one piece of evidence that he is not in touch with reality, and thus mentally incompetent to be president of the United States. Perhaps the narcissism with which Trump has infected the Republican Party, will wane soon and the fever break, as his cult (which still ranks him very highly) heads toward the dustbin of history along with Trump himself and the flunkies that surround him.
